“The Spring Real Estate Picture is Starting to Brighten”

Inquiries about available Property for Sale are increasing. Spring is often good for Real Estate sales and even in this down economy homebuyers are taking this opportunity to purchase a home while prices are low and some of the best financing rates we have seen in decades are available.

Lonnie West, Broker with RE/MAX Capital along with Richard Fox, local Builder/Developer participated as exhibitors in the 17th Annual Homebuyer Fair at the Streets of South Point in Durham recently. Mr. West and Mr. Fox were joined by Elizabeth Allardice, also a RE/MAX Broker and Top Producer in Durham and Orange Counties. West and Allardice have a strong working relationship which helps serve buyers and sellers across the three counties much more effectively.

According to Fox, the interest in Chatham County was impressive and literature about Chatham County homes was taken eagerly by interested visitors. Mr. Fox was promoting available property for sale in Chatham County and almost unheard of special financing offered for purchase of existing homes and lots at Hickory Downs. West mentioned financing at 3.95% for 30 years, Fixed, no closing costs and no Private Mortgage Insurance Required, for those who qualify.

Local Builders David Ritter Construction, Insight Builders of Bear Creek and Stanton Homes are also included in the special financing deals at Hickory Downs. Buyers may purchase a lot and build at the same low rate subject to approval of the lender!

In other efforts to promote Chatham County RE/MAX Capital Realty, Harris Auction and Realty and Johnson Real Estate along with The Glass and Window Warehouse, Siler City Merchants Association and local Mortgage Broker Carolina Home Mortgage pooled their interest and are advertising in the centerfold of the Real Estate Book which is distributed in Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties.

“It does not matter who sells a home in Chatham County, moving the available inventory benefits everyone!” West noted, “There are currently 685 homes and 746 land parcels offered for sale in Chatham County. We need about 1400 buyers! By having associates and contacts in neighboring counties and towns helps to insure that potential buyers may consider Chatham when they do decide to build or buy.”




Chatham County Represented at Durham Home Buyer’s Fair.

Chatham County was represented by Mr. Richard Fox, Foxco Builders, Lonnie West and Elizabeth Allardice, Brokers with RE/MAX Capital Realty at the 17th Annual Home Buyers Fair at The Streets of South Point on Saturday. The event started at 11:00 am and ended at 7:00 pm. “Traffic was steady all day and interest in Chatham County was high,” according to West. “We enjoyed promoting Chatham and our local builders and merchants.”
